From a notecard sent out in the Blueberry group some few days ago, describing a new paid-membership VIP group:
-10 x SL Premium 1 Year Memberships – How is this going to work?
First of all thank you to the Lindens, they are amazing and they made this give away possible. By joining the Blueberry Store VIP group, you automatically enter the give away. Our amazing script genius Ashur will automate this to give us random 5 names at the end of first week (End of next Sunday) and 5 more at the end of following Sunday. Only condition is that you are an existent customer with at least 1 purchase (so our vendor system would have your name recorded and entered to the give away) and you are in the Blueberry Store VIP group.
Also – first sight of Blueberry admitting to having people working for her aside from managers and mods. If only she would praise her riggers and meshers and whoever else is responsible for working so hard to make her clothes.

Man people are so butthurt over fact that Blueberry is so popular. I would put money on how many of these “complainers” are competitors in the marketplace. Blueberry does some good work. I’m no fangirl but I do love Her clothing items and have purchased fatpacks of everything She’s brought out so far (even Her hair and buildings!) and thats just because She does good work – not half assed or stolen from turbosquid items like majority of other places out there. At least the items from blueberry -that say they’re made to fit Maitreya actually fit Maitreya. Most of the people out there rigging for maitreya body is using a COPYBOTTED rigging/weights file to create their shit anyway.

Linden isn’t sponsoring. Linden gave her permission to use her own money she earned to pay for someone elses premium membership. By getting person allows her to do it. With as much money as she makes I think its cool she is doing this and it only helps Linden by her putting money back in to the game. Lets me honest here. She is able to live a fashionable RL with all her bills paid for and even moved from her country to the USA off the money she made from SL. So her spending a chunk of money to give back to Linden and hook some people up with a year premium is a good thing, not a bad thing. Don’t be so butt hurt about the success of others.
Also in response to some of the comments.
Show me on the Daz3D site or the other one where she purchased models and used in SL. I looked and couldn’t find any, but I did find a TON of models that Meli Imako uses.
Blueberry does not keep it a secret that she uses multiple people to help her with her projects, go follow her on Facebook, its no secret that people rig her stuff for her. Its a time saver when you have to create and weight mesh for MULTIPLE mesh bodies its easier to pay someone else to rig them all to the bodies. One of her rigging people even live streams on Facebook him rigging the wings Blueberry made. So how is this some secret or not giving credit. She shared the live stream and got a bunch of people to watch. This was 100% promotion for the person that was doing the rigging for them.
Some people just need to stop getting butt hurt because of someone elses success. If you spent less time being butt hurt and got off that hurt butt and learned to make shit you too could be successful. Don’t be a hater.
Its good she is giving free memberships away, probably a small dent in the fat pocket she has from SL. Don’t hate on people that give back to the community, because chances are they are giving back more than you are.

While I agree that it shouldn’t be possible (nor needed) to be reserved from being bullied on one of these childish SL gossip sites, I must say that this bashing just looks pathetic. True – I am very basic. I like being able to dress in SL without looking like a 1$ hooker. Blueberry and a very few other creators make this possible.
I do not care about the memberships or who paid for them, but I enjoy the group and how it’s being handled. Of course there will always be annoying fangirls praising everything that is released. I don’t really care if the creator is a 100% good or bad human being or if they pay others to do parts of the work for them. The product is great (for us who are ok with being basic I mean) and it’s also good value.
As long as we are not talking about stealing (ripping, copybotting etc), the only things I care about is if the product is my style, if it fits well, if its well made and worth the money I pay for it. That the group has a positive vibe, good customer service and rules that forbids bashing others, religion and politics is just a bonus.

3. I disagree. I’d never buy anything from Scandalize because I personally don’t like their clothes at all. I find them quite tacky. I have not seen one single item there I would buy. I prefer it more casual. But they use a similar style of ad photography (directly from the 3D software).
I’m curious which creators you think have the creativity you say they lack? Of course there are those who make fantasy outfits, avantgarde or roleplay outfits. Those might work for models and roleplayers, while many SL users might spend most of their time exploring, dancing, building and socializing for example.
I shop many places, even though I am not a big shopper at all. I have bought a lot of Blueberrys clothing over the years. I don’t mind being “basic” at all in either life. I like my jeans and my tank tops and obviously many people do. But I want them to be nicely rigged and textured.

Every creator on dz3d and Renderosity forums know that there is second life resident ripping off their shit. I do hope they take legal action. Since linden labs ain’t doing shit to take those stuff down.

okay I jut want to add a little humor to your well written and very reasonable comment. 1$ hookers wear regular clothes just as much as they wear shorts so short their ass cheeks hang out and tops that barely cover the areolas. As a member of the regular Blueberry group I have never had a problem receiving notices, items sent through the notices and chat seems to work fine…even though I have opted out of it I do get it popping up if I log in at the chattiest times, but that happens with all the groups I have opted out of. But I did leave and join the new one – cos at the end of the day it’s free shit!
So fuck knows why there is a need for a new group.

As I’ve read it, it doesn’t say that Linden Labs is giving away the memberships- only making it possible- in those words. To me, that could very likely mean she approached LL and proposed (Possibly?) that the winners be granted/gifted/enabled with 1 year premium memberships (possibly-maybe?) and the feeds covered by Blueberry- not a donation from LL without the avatar needing to have a CC on file like a regular premium account would require… If it did say that LL is donating those membership fees, then I should reread it, cause that’s not the impression I got.
